As this year marks the 15th anniversary of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Ubisoft has big plans and has introduced more than one big new entry in the series.
The greatest of the greats is Assassin’s Creed Miragewhich is slated for release in 2023. But we also got a bit of information about the next two flagship games, currently known as Code name RED and Code name HEXE. They will all be part of the new Codename INFINITY hub.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will take place in Baghdad in the 9th century, at the height of its golden age. Billed as an homage to previous games in the Assassin’s Creed series, it will be more of a narrative adventure, stripping out many RPG-style elements that have been part of more recent releases. So that means focusing on parkour, stealth, and assassination, via a new hero named Basim Ibn Is’haq, who is billed as “a singular street thief with a mysterious past.”
Here is an overview:
The Game’s Senior Content Director Had This To Say About Assassin’s Creed Mirage: “For the 15th anniversary of the franchise, we wanted to offer something special to the players and to our community. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a tribute to the franchise, and especially to the original game. We’re bringing a modern take on the iconic Assassin’s Creed gameplay experience, along with a deep dive into the rituals and principles of the Hidden Ones, something we think longtime fans and new ones alike will be looking forward to. to play “.
As for those mysterious games with the code name, Codename Assassin’s Creed RED will follow Mirage in the more usual (now) open-world RPG style. Players will be able to explore feudal Japan “and all its shinobi fantasies”.

Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Codename HEXE will follow these exploits in Japan. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, it seems to have a witchy vibe, but is otherwise basically shrouded in mystery.
wrap things up, Codename Assassin’s Creed INFINITY is designed to be a hub “that will connect projects and players across different types of experiences, including released Assassin’s Creed games and upcoming ones to launch. As part of Code name INFINITYmultiplayer is set to return as a standalone experience in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
