PS5 trailer promises hi-fi immersion in Wizarding World

New Delhi, May 25th (UNI) In another magical entry into the wizarding world, Harry Potter fans’ dreams will come true in the upcoming next-gen game ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ which will drop its latest PS5 trailer.

A detailed and intricate gaming experience, “Hogwarts Legacy” features cutting-edge graphics, finely crafted and detailed book and movie settings, and high-quality immersion in the magical Hogwarts School.

As revealed in a post on the official PlayStation blog, gamers will get an added layer of immersion if they experience the game on the next-gen PlayStation console.

As explained in the article, “Hogwarts Legacy” will take advantage of the console’s 4K capabilities, haptic feedback, 3D audio, and more.

The PlayStation 5 version of ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ includes a ton of exclusive features as developer Avalanche Software looks to take full advantage of the DualSense controller.

Announced in a PlayStation Blog post, Avalanche explained that the DualSense’s adaptive triggers “allow more flexibility in battle” because the player has “so many spells” at their disposal, which means pressing the trigger at different rhythms could launch different attacks.

The PlayStation 5’s DualSense wireless controller becomes the player’s wand in ‘Hogwarts Legacy’.

Featuring a spell-killing arsenal, adaptive triggers allow for greater flexibility in combat while adding to the immersion players will have a different sense of things as magic resistance at their fingertips among the sparks of each spell, whether it’s a basic cast spell or invoke force for a more powerful spell.

Spells will feel unique when cast, thanks to haptic feedback providing a direct connection between the DualSense controller and the player’s wand.

Avalanche has isolated these effects to the right side of the controller to allow the DualSense to become an extension of the in-game held wand.

Spell deflection with Protego can also be felt as the player’s shield charm sizzles with magic as they reflect and absorb hits.

Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback aren’t limited to spell casting and wand work, however, as the DualSense controller lets you sense a variety of events across the world.

These events are of many varieties, whether it’s crushing ingredients with a mortar and pestle in Potions class, feeling the cry of a Mandrake seedling, or soaring through the skies on a broom or a hippogriff.

The DualSense is the gamer’s connection to the magic on PS5.

The DualSense’s lights will also flash with every spell cast or damage taken, but in more relaxed moments the controller will glow in your Hogwarts house colors: blue and bronze for Ravenclaw, scarlet and gold for Gryffindor, green and silver for Slytherin. , and yellow and black for Hufflepuff.

Emphasis has also been placed on the PS5’s 3D audio and ambience which, in Hogwarts Legacy, promises to put players right in the heart of the wizarding world.

While traversing Hogwarts, players will be able to hear intricate sounds that provide additional immersion, such as the crackle of fire as they cast intense fire spells, potions bubbling in a cauldron, and any other soundscapes of locations they visit .

Even without a headset, gamers can still enjoy an immersive sound experience through the DualSense’s speaker.

Finally, for trophy hunters, Hogwarts Legacy supports PlayStation 5 activity cards and in-game help features, allowing players to get quick tips when searching for collectibles, the execution of certain actions, etc.

Long before the events of the Harry Potter films, players will spend time in the classroom, explore Hogwarts, and battle an evil goblin called Ranrok.

“Hogwarts Legacy” is slated for release on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC in late 2022.
